Vegetarian Victoria Social Dinners

February social dinner

Where: Vegie Bar
When: Sunday 5 February at 6:15pm
Address: 378-380 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy
Details: Friendly and fast service in casual atmosphere. We provide huge serves of tasty wholesome vegetarian dishes at very reasonable prices. Vegans, Coeliacs and even people that don't usually eat vegetarian food will find something they love! Cuisine is modern vegetarian with international influences. Some organic products are used; there are limited items without onion, garlic etc.
RSVP to Emily at social.dinners@vegetarianvictoria.org.au by Monday 30 January. We need a minimum of 8 people and maximum of 10 people for this booking to go ahead.

March social dinner

Where: Shakahari Restaurant
When: Saturday 3 March at 7pm
Address: 201-203 Faraday Street, Carlton
Details: The oldest vegetarian restaurant in Australia, established in 1972. Modern approach towards dining with lots of innovative dishes. Warm ambience with 18th century antiques. Dining areas include atrium and tropical designed courtyard. Organic and boutique wines readily available. Cuisine is Cosmopolitan, mainly Asian and Italian. Some organic/fair trade ingredients used; vegan, gluten free etc. diets catered for: dishes free of onion, garlic, leek etc. can be organised if requested in advance.

April social dinner

Where: Soulfood cafe
When: Saturday 7 April at 7pm
Address: 273 Smith Street, Fitzroy
Details: Very friendly casual atmosphere and great healthy and yummo (organic where possible) food. Organic preservative-free wines, organic bottled juices, organic beer, organic fair trade coffee and decaf with organic milk or Bonsoy. Vegan friendly products, awesome burgers and pizzas, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Wheat/gluten free diets catered for, not many dishes are onion & garlic free.
