Sascha (Committee Member) Email: sascha@vegetarianvictoria.org.au Having been a vegetarian his entire life, Sascha chooses a vegetarian lifestyle for predominantly humane reasons, but also believes strongly in the associated health and environmental benefits, which make the eating of meat simply indefensible in his view. For Sascha, vegetarianism is more than simply a dietary preference, it is a way of life - it guides the way in which other life forms are treated and determines the position in which we see ourselves in the world/universe, necessarily invoking a spiritual perspective. Sascha believes humanity should ultimately aspire to compassion for all creatures and envisages a future world without animal cruelty where everyone is vegetarian. Otherwise, Sascha works in the legal industry and has an interest in the development of animal welfare law. |
